Outlook Web Access Login
now to Outlook Web Access
Description: Outlook Web Access is a way to access your mailbox
hosted on Bizintegrators Exchange 2000 servers using your
web browser. This allows access to your e-mail from most
any computer connected to the Internet without having to
install additional software. The look and feel is designed
to closely mimic the standard Outlook client software installed
on your computer. You will be able to access your Contacts,
Calendar, Notes, and To Do information as well as perform
other tasks such as scheduling meetings. You can also access
this from a computer connected to the Internet at home.
Common Questions About the Service
* What is OWA?
OWA is short for Outlook Web Access
* What is the login information I should use to login to OWA?
You will be asked for a username, password.
Your username will be: yourusername@yourdomain.com The first
part of the logon name is normally the same as your e-mail
address that appears before the @ sign. Following the @ sign
is normally your corporate domain name.
* What if I forget my password?
Contact Bizintegrators Support for the hosting platform and
request password change. We will reset
your password and then call or e-mail the administrative
contact to give the new password. If we have an alternative
e-mail address in our records for you, such as a Yahoo Mail
or Hotmail account, then we can alternatively send the password
to your alternative mailbox.
* What is the web address for accessing Outlook Web Access?
https://webmail.aspnic.com/exchange/
* Can I add this address to the Favorites or Bookmarks list
on my web browser?
Yes, and we encourage you to do so. Just use the normal steps
in your web browser to add this link.
Common Problems
* Sometimes when I use OWA it asks for my MS Office CD-Rom,
especially when I try to compose a new e-mail message. What
should I do?
If you click Cancel (sometimes more then once if prompted
again) you should be able to still use OWA, but the editor
for composing mail will not support as complex formatting.
If you are at a computer owned by your company, then you
should insert the requested CD-Rom into the computer before
using OWA. If you close your web browser, re-launch it, connect
your OWA mailbox, and try to compose a new message it should
then look for the CD-Rom and install the necessary software
very quickly (20 seconds or so). After it has done this once,
it should not request the CD-Rom again.
* I am getting the login prompt for OWA, but it won’t
let me in. What should I do?
The authentication procedure for OWA is tied to the new Windows
2000 Active Directory and with the initial release of Exchange
2000 we have seen a few problems. The first thing you should
do is to close your web browser, re-launch it, and try to
connect to OWA again. If that still does not work, there
may be a problem with the specific computer you are using.
Some uncommon computer configurations will keep OWA from
working. Start by checking to see if the computer you are
using is running Windows 2000 by clicking on the Start menu
and see if the words Windows 2000 are written up along the
left edge of the menu. If it is Windows 2000, then it is
probably configured with security settings that will prevent
the login procedure with OWA working. Microsoft knows about
this bug and is working on it. If it is not running Windows
2000, try to use another computer. If it still does not work,
and you are not in your office, you may want to call a co-worker
there and have her try to login (but realize you will have
to give her your password). If she can get in, then the problem
is with the computers you are using. If these techniques
don’t work, then contact Bizintegrators Support for
help.
* How do I change my password?
Currently the built in Change Password functionality of Outlook
and OWA is not working. Exchange 2000 requires a more complex
authentication procedure for changing passwords, so we are
currently working on developing a specialized system for
allowing customers who only use our Exchange hosting service
to change their passwords from a special website. For now,
to change your password, e-mail a request to Bizintegrators
Technical Support from the account whose password should
be changed. For the subject of the message specify Password
change and in the body of the message provide both your old
and new password. The change should take effect within one
business day. If you start getting locked out of your mailbox,
try logging in using the new password.
Password
update; Now password change works from inside OWA, plus
when login to Outlook2000/XP. After changing password please
wait approximately
one hour.
